average stay with some issues
black mold faulty sockets
the room was quite spacious, which i appreciated.
The bathroom wasn't great. There was black mold on the roof. only two of the eight plug sockets in the room worked, rather inconvenient. the carpet was poorly fitted.

excellent stay
spacious room plentiful supplies late checkout
The room was spacious. it included a double bed, a single bed, a couch, and two chairs. there were plentiful supplies of tea, coffee, milk, and bottled water. the reception staff permitted a slightly later check out time. This allowed us to use the pool again after breakfast.
i found the hotel understaffed at dinner and service was slow.

Dinner in the restaurant offered a good choice on the menu. Every dish was served hot. breakfast had good options. Cereals, juices and fruit were self serve. gluten free dietary requirements were handled with confidence and no issues.

A bus (x4) stop to keswick is right outside the main entrance near the phone box. The trip to the bus station takes 15 minutes. the lake district wild life park is one mile down the road. the hotel's location was ideal for my family.

spacious room leisure facilities good size pool
The ROOM was spacious and had plenty of tea, coffee, milk, and bottled water. I used the leisure facilities. The pool was a good size. I enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

disappointing cheese board overworked staff
the pool was better than expected.
the cheese board was a total disappointment and breakfast matched it. i think the staff is overworked.
